Abstract: A characteristic feature of multilayer technical fabrics is their high density on the basis. Considering the high threading tension of the warp threads, in practice, the width of threading the warp along the reed is always much less than that provided for in the technical data sheet for the machine. This circumstance leads to the impossibility of using the loom's scallops to hold the edges of the fabric, and this, in turn, leads to the fact that during shedding and surfing, the edge of the fabric moves under the action of the tension of the branches of the warp and fabric. This leads to a disruption in the process of fabric formation, unevenness of the fabric along the weft, which is associated with a change in the value of the beating angle, a violation of the conditions for the interaction of warp and weft yarns in the formation zone of a multilayer technical fabric. All this leads to uneven tension of the warp threads and, as a consequence, to thread breaks, deterioration of the quality of multilayer technical fabrics, downtime of technological equipment.
